The fungus grows beneath the bark, which curls back. Spore Print White Microscopic Features Spores sausage shaped, smooth, thin walled, with drops (18-25) x (5-7.5) µm2. Basidia clavate 4 spored, containing drops, sinuous, with a basal clamp. Hyphal system monomitic, thin walled, 2-3 µm wide, with clamps, cyanophilous. Dendrohyphidia cylindrical, sometimes encrusted.
