Fruiting Body Resupinate, waxy to gelatinous, thin, smooth, cream to ochraceous Flesh Gelatinous, whitish Smell Indistinct Taste Unknown Season Autumn to spring Distribution Very common Habitat On dead wood, usually oak, rarely on wood from other trees. The fungus grows beneath the bark, which curls back. Spore Print White Microscopic Features Spores sausage shaped, smooth, thin walled, with drops (18-25) x (5-7.5) µm2. Basidia clavate 4 spored, containing drops, sinuous, with a basal clamp. Hyphal system monomitic, thin walled, 2-3 µm wide, with clamps, cyanophilous. Dendrohyphidia cylindrical, sometimes encrusted. Cystidia not present. Edibility Unknown
