Cap

Convex, then flattened, felty with coarse scales, orange, orange yellow, or yellow green, to about 13 cm across

Pores

Ochraceous, yellow green with age, sometimes bruising blue green

Stem

Equal to club shaped, smooth, orange yellow

Flesh

Lemon-yellow to ochre, darker in the stem base, firm

Smell

Strong, not unpleasant
