Resupinate, thin, granular, consisting of a mass of tiny granules which are distinct or continous when viewed with a hand lens, whitish, yellowish, grey or brownish

On dead wood from deciduous trees and shrubs, very rarely on dead wood from conifers

Microscopic Features

Spores cylindrical to ellipsoidal, smooth (5.5-8) x (3-4.5) µm2. Basidia subglobose, longitudinally septate, 2 to 4 spored. Hyphal system monomitic, clamps present but hard to find. Cystidia projecting beyond the hymenium, tubular, thick walled except at the apex, to about 200 µm long by (5-7) µm wide. Star shaped crystals present in the context.
