Convex with a central bump, expanding with age, slimy, greyish brown with a lilac or purple tinge, drying yellowish grey, about 2 to 5 cm across

Microscopic Features

Spores ellipsoidal, smooth (7.5-10) x (4-5) µm2. Basidia 4 spored. Gill edge cystidia club shaped to cylindrical with a swollen head. Gill face chrysocystidia club shaped with a small protuberance at the apex.
