Fruiting Body Fan or top shaped, smooth, yellow or orange from the centre, margin whitish, to about 3 cm across Pores Whitish, often incomplete and resembling spines Stem Tapered, broader at the apex, whitish Smell To my nose the smell is fragrant, like cauliflower fungus. Others describe the smell as a mix of hospital corridors (iodoform) and bacon. Season Late summer to autumn Distribution Rarely recorded Habitat On soil and leaf litter Spore Print White Microscopic Features Spores sausage shaped, smooth (4.5-6) x (2-2.5) µm2.
