Fruiting Body Cup shaped, with a distinct stem, becoming disk shaped with age, yellowish brown to reddish brown, to about 15 mm across Flesh Brittle, brown Smell Indistinct Season Autumn to winter Distribution Frequent Habitat On dead wood from deciduous trees, favouring oak but also hazel and alder Spore Print White Microscopic Features Spores cylindrical, 1-3 septa when mature, often with a small knob at each end (13-17) x (3-5) µm2. Asci 8 spored. Paraphyses filliform, septate, forked near the base. Edibility Unknown
