Cap Convex, sometimes with a small central bump, reddish brown, hygrophanous, drying pale brown, radially lined from the margin, margin scalloped, to about 15 mm across Gills Adnate to subdecurrent, somewhat distant, pale brown to dark brown Stem Equal, slender, longitudinally decorated with small white fibrils Flesh Thin, brown Smell Indistinct Taste Unknown Season All year, especially autumn and winter Distribution Frequent Habitat On sandy soil with mosses, favouring heaths and moors Spore Print Lilac brown Microscopic Features Spores mitriform (like a bishop's hat), smooth, thick walled, germ pore prominant (7-9) x (4.5-6) µm2.
