Convex, then expanded, bright yellow, often darker at the centre, to about 6 cm across

Broad, free, crowded, whitish then salmon pink, sometimes yellow near the cap margin

Equal or slightly tapered, smooth, finely lined along the length, whitish, then flushed yellow from the base

This fungus could be confused with Pluteus chrysophaeus. It is distinguished by the filamentous cap hyphae.
