Convex, then flattened, surface suede like, golden yellow to orange brown, to about 25 cm across

Gills

Broad, adnate, whitish then yellow brown.

Stem

Equal or swollen at the base, surface smooth above the ring, covered with granular scales below, ring apical, pendant and fleshy, golden yellow to orange brown

Flesh

Whitish to pale yellow, firm
