Flesh Soft, whitish Smell Indistinct Season All year Distribution Common Habitat On rotten wood, from both deciduous and coniferous trees Spore Print White Microscopic Features Spores ellipsoidal usually concave on one side, smooth, with droplets (8-12) x (4-5) µm2. Basidia slenderly club shaped, 4 spored, with basal clamp. Hyphal system monomitic, hyphae 3 to 4 µm wide, thin walled, with clamps. Cystidia of three types. Gloeocystidia spindle shaped and tapered towards the apex, filled with yellow matter. Leptocystidia cylindrical, irregular, sometimes capitate, often apically encrusted, numerous to rare. Stephanocysts globular, sometimes with a ring of small teeth around the circumference, numerous to rare.
