Bell shaped, pale cream, smooth, or wrinkled, sometimes sticky, margin slightly ragged, about 1 to 5 cm across

Adnate, grey, aging violaceous black, mottled, with a white margin

Stem

Equal, often with a slightly bulbous base, white with a fleshy ring, to about 15 cm long and 0.5 cm wide

White, tinged yellow in the cap and the stem base
