Fruiting Body

Resupinate, tightly attached to the substrate, covered with tooth like spines, each about 2 to 4 mm long, whitish, yellowish or ochraceous

Flesh

Thin, yellowish, waxy when damp, brittle when dry. No colour change when exposed to KOH solution.

Smell

Indistinct.

Microscopic Features

Spores sausage shaped (3.5-5) x (1.5-2) µm2. Basidia 4 spored, with basal clamp. Hyphal system monomitic. Cystidia absent. Hyphoid cystidioles present.

Notes

The specimens shown were identified in the field by Alan Lucas. I confirmed that the flesh did not change colour when exposed to KOH solution, and the microscopic features were as expected.
