Fruiting Body Resupinate, tightly attached to the substrate, covered with tooth like spines, each about 2 to 4 mm long, whitish, yellowish or ochraceous Flesh Thin, yellowish, waxy when damp, brittle when dry. No colour change when exposed to KOH solution. Smell Indistinct. Taste Unknown. Season All year Distribution Infrequent Habitat On dead wood from deciduous trees Spore Print White Microscopic Features Spores sausage shaped (3.5-5) x (1.5-2) µm2. Basidia 4 spored, with basal clamp. Hyphal system monomitic. Cystidia absent. Hyphoid cystidioles present. Edibility Inedible Notes The specimens shown were identified in the field by Alan Lucas.
