Common Name

Orange Bleeding Mycena

Cap

Convex, with a central bump, expanding with age, colour rather variable, often whitish, grey or grey brown, usually with orange streaks, but sometimes entirely orange, to about 3 cm across

Adnate, broad, whitish, orange stains appearing with age

Equal, slender, hollow, usually orange, but sometimes pale yellow

Grey-brown, producing an orange sap on cutting

On dead wood and litter of deciduous trees, favouring beech
