Convex, expanding with age, breaking into coarse scales, cream, centre pale brown, to 10 cm across

Microscopic Features

Spores ellipsoidal, with amyloid warts (7.5-9) x (4-5) µm2. Basidia four spored. Gill edge cystidia urticiform (narrow and tapering with sharp crystals at the apex).
