Distribution Infrequent Notes Inocybe incarnata was formerly classified as a variant of Inocybe fraudans. However DNA studies have show that it is a distinct species. It is macroscopically identical to I. fraudans, or at least differences have not been determined, except that it is larger, and can grow to 7 cm or more across. The specimens shown were identified by size. ![]() Spores in Congo Red solution viewed with a 100X immersion objective. 7 November 2023 Marwell Zoo, Hampshire.
