Conical, explanding with age, with a central umbo, radially fibrillose, brown to greyish brown, to about 4.5 cm across

Microscopic Features

Spores ellipsoidal to almond shaped, smooth (8-10.5) x (5-6) µm2. Basidia club shaped, four spored. Gill edge cystidia spindle shaped with apical encrustation, club shaped cells also present. Gill face cystidia similar. Stem cystidia spindle shaped with apical encrustation to club shaped.
