Microscopic Features

Spores ellipsoidal, smooth, containing multiple oil drops (6.9-8.1) x (4.3-5) µm2, Q = 1.5-1.8. Basidia 2 and 4 spored, clavate. Hyphal system monomitic, hyphae 2 to 3 µm wide, clamped. Leptocystidia projecting beyond the hymenium, cylindrical, sinuose, thin walled, smooth.

The specimen shown was DNA sequenced by Eric Janke in association with the BMS. The sequence matches the unnamed sequence MT537030.1. It does not match Hyphoderma multicystidium despite the good microscopy match.
