Very rare: known from South Devon, Dorset, Surrey, Hertfordshire, and West Sussex.

I am grateful to Dr. B.M.Spooner, of Kew, for identifying the specimens in the photograph. The species was first collected (1993) and described by Peter Roberts, a mycologist at Kew
