Cup shaped, expanding with age, sometimes becoming flattened, inner surface pale brown to dark brown, outer surface white to greyish, stem prominent, ribbed, whitish, to about 6 cm across

Microscopic Features

Spores ellipsoidal, one large drop (18-22) x (12-14) µm2. Asci cylindrical, base not branched.

Notes

The specimens shown were found by David Edington. The pale specimens, whilst not typical of the species, were found growing alongside darker forms.
