Cap Conical to ovoid, radially grooved, expanding with age, orange brown, hygrophanous, drying buff, to about 25 mm across Gills Broad, +/- close, pale, then dark brown, finally black, edge grey, glistening with small mica like grains Stem Lined longitudinally, powdery, base bulbous, whitish Flesh White Smell Indistinct Taste Indistinct Season Spring to autumn Distribution Infrequent Habitat On fire sites and burnt wood Spore Print Black Microscopic Features Spores mitre shaped, germ pore, smooth (7.5-11.5) x (5.5-8) µm2. Basidia club shaped, four spored. Pileipellis consisting of globose cells with occasional slender tapered finger shaped cells. Edibility Unknown
