Convex, then flattened or funnel shaped, surface frosted, white, to about 10 cm across
Decurrent, white then pink
Central or eccentric, white
On soil in woods, usually with deciduous trees
Spores ellipsoidal, longitudinally lined (often quite faint), angular when seen end on (9-12) x (4-6) µm2
Edible, but best avoided for fear of confusion with deadly poisonous species
This species could be confused with several species including Clitocybe dealbata
