Xerocomus moravicus, Xerocomus leonis, Boletus moravicus, Boletus leonis
Convex, felty when young then smooth, finely cracked, yellowish brown, to about 8 cm across
Cream when young then pale yellow often flushed reddish brown
Cylindrical to club shaped, lined, tomentose, yellowish brown
Soft in the cap and fibrous in the stem, off white
In open areas with broadleaf trees, favouring oak
Spores spindle shaped or ellipsoidal, smooth (9-12) x (5-6) µm2
Edible, but should be left due to its rarity
A drop of Melzer's solution turns the pores bruish green
