Inverted cup shaped (cyphelloid), flattening with age, margin +/- lobed, laterally attached to the substrate, pale brown to whitish, to about 1 cm across

Microscopic Features

Spores tear drop shaped with a distinct apiculus at the narrow end, smooth (6-10) x (3.5-5) µm2. Basidia club shaped, 4 spored. Gill cystidia absent. Clamp connections absent.

This species could easily be confused with A. spathulata. I am grateful to David Dell for providing me with the location of a site.
